What Renter Are You?
You CANNOT apply for Rent Geared-to-Income housing through Ayr and District directly.
Ayr and District charge two types of rental rates – some of our tenants pay market rent and other tenants pay subsidized rent [Rent Geared-To-Income (RGI) and Below Average Market Rent (BAMR)].
The process to apply for housing is different for each type of rental rate.
Market Rent

To apply for a senior (59+) apartment or townhouse unit rented at full market value (Market Rent), you may apply through Ayr and District directly. You can download the application form (pdf) for Market Rent below.
DUE TO THE LENGTH OF OUR WAITING LIST, APPLICATIONS FOR MARKET RENT UNITS ARE NOT BEING TAKEN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE CHECK BACK AFTER DECEMBER 1, 2023.
